4.8 Generate Configuration File

Generating a configuration file allows you to create an XML file that includes settings for a device’s password, time zone, Wi-Fi connection information (SSID, Password, etc.), and NovoDS Cloud login information, which can then be stored on a microSD or USB drive and quickly deployed to any other device which you want to have the same settings.

To generate a configuration file:

1. Click button Generate Configuration File

2. In the Configuration pop-up window, fill out all the settings you want to deploy to other devices and then click Save… and navigate to the folder in your local storage where you want to save the XML file.

3. Copy the XML file onto a microSD or USB flash drive and then inserting the drive into the device you want to configure. Once inserted, wait about 20 seconds until a pop-up message appears on the device confirming the configuration. You can then remove the drive from the device and then proceed to the next device you want to configure.
